Jen and I have lived in the Central New York region for the greater part of our lives, an area that has a rich antiques history. We have been selling our wares at various CNY events and are currently selling out of a wonderful antique shop in Bouckville, NY, "The Depot". Very unique 19th century inkwell designed for travelers, ensuring ink remained secure and accessible on the go. A button/ latch mechanism releases the lid providing access to the ink. This piece has the original ink bottle and copper finish with a green painted body. Reflects a time before pens when inkwells were essential for writing. While functional this inkwell is very suitable for display in a study or office.
