Pewter & Wood has been in business for 36 years. A native New Englander, Barbara splits her time between seasonal shops in Enfield, N.H. (May - Nov.) and Cave Creek, AZ. (Dec.-April). Both shops are open by appointment and host Open Houses during the season. In addition, Pewter & Wood exhibits at a number of New England shows: New Hampshire Antique Dealers Association show (Aug.), Rhinebeck Antique Shows (May & Oct.). 18th and 19th c. Americana, in original surface, is our primary focus. Furniture, painted boxes, gameboards, textiles, hooked and braided rugs, stoneware , decorative accessories and folkart are of special interest. Chopping Board with Dovetailed gallery, The center of the board has been worn down from years of chopping, great wear overall. The gallery has nails connecting it to the chopping board. It is only 11 1/2” wide by 12” deep. The sides are 3 1/2” high and the slab is 1 1/2” thick. 19thc.

Oval Framed Scherenschnitte of children playing. The background paper has yellowed over time. Found in New England forty years ago and has been in my personal collection. The piece dates to the early 1900’s.

Early, American, Small Mortar and Pestle. Excellent condition - no cracks or chips, wonderful warm patina. Dates to pre 1840’s. The mortar measures 4 1/4” high and the pestle, original to the mortar, measures 6” long and stands upright in the mortar. The overall height of the two pieces is 7 3/4”. Both pieces have great form.

Doll Dress in black and white stripe, Late 19th c., Dimensions: 13 1/4” long shoulder to hem, 11 1/2” around the chest. The dress is embellished with a collar and cuffs in matching fabric. It fastens with 2 white buttons on the back. No holes or rips, very good condition!

Stone fruit cantaloupe in excellent condition and realistic color. It is approximately 6 1/2” long. A great addition to a collection of stone fruit!

Well loved velvet dog, straw filled, glass eyes, stitched nose and mouth. Ears are loose but still attached. There is an old mend spot right lower side. He measures 9 1/2” high x 11 1/2” long nose to tail. He is looking for a new loving home!
